July 2006 Summary
Wow, what a month this has been. I started off the month visiting the majestic Carolinas. What a gorgeous country we have the privilege of living in. I can’t think of anyplace I would rather live. God bless the U.S.A. Now I can truly say this year that my journey has taken me from one end of the country to the other. I am so glad that I drove so I could see so much beauty.
After I left the Carolinas I steered my car toward the friendly state of Arkansas. I loved the drive and the opportunity to see so many breath taking spots. I recall driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains going in and out of fog banks, now THAT was an experience to behold. Nevertheless, it was a vision of lovliness I will NEVER forget. No postcard could ever depict the real life beauty. Crossing the great Mississippi River was an equally omnious experience. It amazed how something so seemingly peaceful can also be so devastating. Nature is definitely a wonder.
In regard to my new “healthy eating” choices, I have miracles to log. I was absolutely amazed at the changes that have actually taken place in me. As I was traveling, all alone, no one there to know if I made healthy choices or crummy choices. . . . . .I was so pleased with the changes in me. I had the opportunity to resort to my old ways as I was on the road and would you believe that I DID NOT fall back into my old ways?!!!!! Praise be to God, He is STILL in the miracle working business. I made it all the way from the Carolinas to Arkansas (a 12 1/2 hour drive) WITHOUT eating in a fast food place OR eating any junk food. I MADE HEALTHY CHOICES. I am here to tell you IT CAN BE DONE you just have to make the right choice!
I made it to Arkansas and now I will be here until God lets me know it is time to go back home to California. This is where I will learn to apply all that I learned in Georgia. I will be putting all that knowledge into real life practice BEFORE I get back home. I want to be sure that I can succeed before I get back home in familiar territory.
