Hello, my name is Bo. I am a success story “IN PROGRESS”.
At 570 pounds, I left Southern California and drove to Atlanta, Georgia in my quest to gain optimal health. I had the opportunity to stay someplace that allowed me the constant supervision and accountability that I needed to begin conquering my addiction to food. The easier way to see weight loss, Gastric by-pass surgery, was NEVER AN OPTION for me. Mainly because being “fat” is not my whole problem. I’m dealing with the deeper problem and my life is changing. I realize that it’s not just what you’re eating; it’s what’s eating you that is the problem. I’m learning to deal with the emotional issues as well as the physical issues.

Before arriving in Atlanta, I wouldn’t even walk outside to get my mail. The walk to the mailbox seemed just too far away. After losing 100 lbs. I was walking a mile a day at Stone Mountain Park and I was eating and drinking ALL THE RIGHT THINGS.

I have so much that I want to say to the many people who are treading that unhealthy and lonely path of obesity. My main point is this: “THERE IS HELP BEYOND GASTRIC BY-PASS SURGERY”.
